One of the key focus areas of the Champions of Change Coalition’s strategy is to support Members in creating gender-equal and diverse workforces that help them capture the performance advantage. The overwhelming experience of the Champions of Change Coalition is that when it comes to creating gender-equal workforces, accelerating more women into leadership positions through sponsorship matters.
Champions of Change Coalition is pleased to announce Andrew Stevens as its new Chair of the Board effective 1 March 2024, succeeding Janet Menzies.
Andrew Stevens has been with the Coalition as a Board Member since 2016, a Member of the Coalition’s Founding group since 2011 and a member of the STEM group since 2018. Previously Managing Director of IBM Australia, Andrew also serves on the Boards of Stockland, Ooh Media, and is Chair of Industry, Innovation and Science Australia.
Champions of Change Coalition has released a draft resource: 7 Switches: A Guide for Inclusive Gender Equality by Design for stakeholder review and feedback. This pioneering initiative aims to help embed inclusive gender equality at the heart of all decision-making and design processes, across everything we do and deliver.
The Champions of Change report, Closing gender pay gaps: our action and commitment, released to coincide with Workplace Gender Equality Agency’s inaugural publication of gender pay gap data for Australian private sector organisations with more than 100 employees, provides the median gender pay gap data for Champions of Change Coalition Members, together with a framework for understanding and responding to gender pay gaps and priority actions the Coalition is taking to close them.
