CHAMPIONS OF CHANGE STEM AND HEALTH

The Champions of Change STEM and Health Group was established in 2016 and today includes 22 Members who lead some 220,000 employees, in 40 jurisdictions.

The Group reflects the diversity of STEM and Health organisations representing our national scientific research and data institutions, universities, technology, and engineering enterprises, aged care, hospital and primary health care providers, medical device and pharmaceuticals producers as well as government and peak professional organisations.

The Champions of Change STEM and Health Group exists to achieve inclusive gender equality acting at organisation, sector and national levels disrupting the status quo in these traditionally gendered sectors to drive significant and sustainable change.

Christine Bennett is a specialist paediatrician and has over 40 years of health industry experience in clinical care, strategic planning, business operations, and senior management in the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors, and was Deputy Vice Chancellor at the University of Notre Dame, where she was Dean of Medicine for over a decade.

Janet Menzies

Janet Menzies is Director Asia Pacific Amazon Stores and has been involved in the Champions of Change Coalition since its inception including as the inaugural CEO, Board Member and as immediate past Chair, a position she held for 4 years. 

Previous roles include as General Manager Australia and New Zealand for Cochlear, Co-Founder of women’s start-up accelerator, Heads over Heels (now Apropela) and Director of Professional Development at McKinsey & Co (US West Coast) for nearly a decade.
