Umar Ahsan Khan is an accomplished business leader with a wealth of experience spanning over 33 years. He has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Accounting and Finance from The London School of Economics.
With a career that began in 1990 at ICI Pakistan Limited, Umar Ahsan Khan has grown into an exceptional finance professional. In 2010, he joined Dawlance Group of Companies as Director Finance & Chief Financial Officer, where he was a key driver of the company’s growth and success.
Umar Ahsan Khan has had a successful career in finance, holding numerous leadership positions. He joined Thal Engineering – A House of Habib company as chief operating officer from 2014-2019. Since 2019, he has been the Chief Executive Officer of Dawlance.
Mr. Umar has contributed significantly to the business community, serving as an active member of the Board Audit Committee in Avanceon Limited from 2018 to 2019. He also chaired the Board HR and Remuneration Committee in Avanceon Limited from 2014 to 2019. Additionally, he served as an independent director of Avanceon Limited from 2013 until 2019.
In recognition of his exceptional work, Umar Ahsan Khan was appointed as a member of Habib University’s Industrial Advisory Board in 2021. He is also an independent director of HRSG, a member of the Managing Committee of Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce & Industry (OICCI), and the vice-chairman of the Pakistan Electronics Manufacturers Association (PEMA).
