Muhammad Amir Khan Mr. Muhammad Amir Khan has been at the helm of HBL Microfinance Bank as its President & CEO since 2012.

Under Mr. Muhammad Amir Khan’s esteemed leadership, HBL Microfinance Bank was recognized as the Best Bank in the Microfinance Industry in Pakistan in the year 2022. This prestigious accolade is a testament to his strategic vision, strong management skills, and commitment to excellence. Mr. Muhammad Amir Khan’s unwavering dedication to the microfinance sector has positioned HBL Microfinance Bank as a leader in providing financial services to underserved communities and driving financial inclusive growth in Pakistan.

In addition to his role at HBL Microfinance Bank Ltd, he holds various esteemed positions within the microfinance sector. He serves as the Director and Chairman of the Policy Committee at Pakistan Microfinance Network, contributing to shaping policies and strategies for the industry. Furthermore, he actively participates as an Executive Committee Member and Chairperson of the Subcommittee for Microfinance Banks at Pakistan Banking Association, furthering the development of microfinance institutions.

Mr. Muhammad Amir Khan is also a valued Member of the Microfinance Consultative Group. Prior to his current position, Mr. Muhammad Amir Khan gained valuable experience at prominent financial institutions including Standard Chartered Bank, ABN AMRO Bank, and Royal Bank of Scotland. Notably, he assumed the role of CEO at Mobilink Microfinance Bank (formerly Waseela Microfinance Bank), where he played a pivotal role in the establishment of this new microfinance bank. His contributions were instrumental in laying the foundation for the bank’s operations and success.
