Lisa Chiba was appointed managing director of Momentum Energy in January 2022, having spent her career in a variety of leadership roles across retail utilities and financial services in Australia and the UK.
Lisa is proud of her Australian-Japanese heritage, and is the mother of a young daughter, with another on the way.
Lisa’s professional passions are promoting diversity and inclusion in the workforce; and helping businesses and households participate in Australia’s transition to a clean energy future. Lisa holds a Bachelor of Laws with honours and a Bachelor of Arts (Media and Communications) from the University of Melbourne. Lisa was a panellist at the 2022 AFR Climate Summit and she is a mentor in the Clean Energy Council’s Women in Renewables mentoring program.

The Group brings together representatives from the energy sector including energy generation and production, distribution, retail and resources businesses across Australia. Members are committed to working within and across their organisations to achieving inclusive gender equality and a significant and sustainable increase in the representation of women in leadership.
