Amir Paracha

Amir Paracha is the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Unilever Pakistan Limited. He joined Unilever in 2000 as an Assistant Brand Manager and subsequently progressed into cross- category Marketing and Sales leadership positions.

In his present position, Amir is spearheading the company’s “Unilever for Pakistan” vision, a purpose-driven movement to amplify Unilever Pakistan’s role in empowering Pakistanis with opportunities for meaningful lives and livelihoods. As part of this ambition, he is leading Unilever Pakistan’s contribution towards combatting Climate Change through large scale interventions to migrate Unilever Pakistan’s energy footprint to renewable sources, whilst also driving momentum for circular plastics use in our value chain. Amir has been recognised by the Government as a Corona War Hero and was also conferred Shan e Pakistan Award by the President for Unilever Pakistan’s COVID relief drive in the country.

He is the Vice President of Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce & Industry (OICCI) and also a Director on the Board of The Royal Dutch Shell Oil Company, also the company where he began his career back in 1996.

As part of an effort to contribute towards the greater external ecosystem, Amir is a member on the Boards of Endeavor Pakistan, Karachi Vocational Training Centre and the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI). In addition to these roles, he serves in an advisory capacity to the British Asian Trust, as Trustee at The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Foundation Pakistan; Member at the Board of Governors of the National Management Foundation and the Founding Member of the SDPI’s Green Network.

Amir Paracha earned his Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the Institute of Business Administration. Over his career, he also attended executive courses at the Harvard, INSEAD & London Business School.

In his spare time, he enjoys reading, landscaping and experimenting with conceptual architecture.
