This has included building a vibrant membership base of 260 Coalition Members, engaged to deliver impactful improvements in their workplace culture and practices, as well as refreshing the strategic direction of the Coalition to accelerate the pace of change on inclusive gender equality.

“It’s an honour for me to step in to the role of Chair of the Champions of Change Coalition, especially following Janet Menzies’ exemplary leadership,” said Andrew Stevens.

“Janet has set a high standard with her steadfast commitment to our shared goal of achieving inclusive gender equality across Australia’s workplaces by 2030 and I’m humbled by the opportunity to continue this vital work.

“I sincerely thank Janet for her incredible contribution and I’m delighted she will continue to guide us as a Board Member.”

Commenting on the transition, Janet said: “The impact of our Coalition Members working together to drive gender equality in their organisations, with their stakeholders and across industries, confirms we’re making solid progress.

“Our goal for gender equality by 2030 requires unwavering leadership. Together, with our CEO Annika Freyer and her team, I’m confident the Coalition will continue to deliver positive and sustainable change.

“I sincerely thank our Founder, Elizabeth Broderick and my fellow Board Members for their support during my term as Chair and I’m excited to see Andrew lead the Coalition’s next chapter.”

The Coalition has also announced the appointment of two new directors Jenelle McMaster, EY Oceania’s Deputy CEO and Markets leader, effective immediately, and Andrew Colvin AO APM, who will join the Board from 1 July 2024.
