We invite you to join our upcoming Member Briefing: From Risk to Safety – Products, Services and Technology in the Context of Domestic and Family Violence
Perpetrators of domestic and family violence often exploit everyday products and services to exert control, harass, and intimidate their victims. This abuse can be enabled through technology, and increasingly the misuse of AI. Members across banking, insurance, energy, telecommunications, and other essential services are taking action to prevent the weaponisation of products and services, respond when misuse occurs, and embed safety and inclusion into future product and service design from the outset. Building on the Coalition’s 2024 Roundtable and Statement of Commitment on this topic, this discussion, facilitated by our Convenor, Kristen Hilton, will feature insights from experts and leaders at the forefront of preventing and responding to this critical issue:
- Julie Inman Grant, Australia’s eSafety Commissioner
- Catherine Fitzpatrick, Founder, Flequity
- Paul Fahey, CEO, Hollard Insurance
- Damien Nicks, CEO, AGL
You are welcome to forward this invitation to others in your organisation who may be interested in this topic such as Customer, Product and Services design leaders, Customer Care and Advocacy teams, Corporate and Regulatory Affairs and Risk Management teams.
Taking place on the International Day for the Elimination of All Forms of Violence Against Women, and the first day of the 16 Days of Activism to End Gender-Based Violence, this event forms part of the Coalition’s ongoing commitment to addressing domestic, family and sexual violence. For further details on our 10 years of work on this topic, please see our website.
If you have any questions about the briefing please contact your Program Director.
