Coalition Members, Implementation Leaders and colleagues are warmly invited to join our upcoming Member Briefing:  Men, boys and gender equality – creating a better future for all.

As we pursue our shared goal of inclusive gender equality, engaging men and boys as active participants and beneficiaries is essential. Yet, some men and boys feel left out or unsure of how they fit into the conversation, and feel their experiences and challenges aren’t fully acknowledged.

Facilitated by Elizabeth Broderick AO, this in-conversation with Cody Ragonese, Associate Director of Programs, at Equimundo will explore practical ways to more intentionally invite men and boys to be a part of  our work. Together they will discuss how all genders can listen with empathy, welcomes diverse, healthy expressions of masculinity and create a gender-equal future that works for everyone.

This session will support leaders to build a stronger sense of shared purpose, and workplaces where everyone feels they can benefit from shaping a more inclusive, equitable future.

About The Member Briefing:

As we pursue our shared goal of inclusive gender equality, engaging men and boys as active participants and beneficiaries is essential. By engaging men and boys meaningfully, we can advance gender equality in ways that strengthen relationships, improve wellbeing, and benefit families, workplaces, and communities. Yet some men and boys feel left out or unsure of how they fit into the conversation, and feel their experiences and challenges aren’t fully acknowledged. Part of this is understanding the challenges boys and men face in a rapidly changing world – from declining educational outcomes and mental health, to shifting societal expectations.

Facilitated by Elizabeth Broderick AO, this in-conversation with Cody Ragonese, Associate Director of Programs, at Equimundo* will explore practical ways to invite men and boys in, through listening with empathy, challenging outdated norms, and supporting  for diverse, healthy expressions of masculinity. Drawing on insights from global and national research (including Gender Compass), this session will explore how to engage constructively, tap into shared values, and build a sense of common cause – supporting leaders to create environments where everyone sees themselves as part of the solution to a more inclusive, equitable and prosperous future.
