The Insurance Group was established in August 2019. The Group has 8 members who lead some 32,000 employees, across Australia and New Zealand.

In late 2019 the Insurance Group conducted Listen and Learn forums to determine the opportunities and barriers to improving gender equality in their own organisations and greater society. Based on these learnings, the Group identified two key themes for focus: bold and inclusive leadership; and dismantling barriers for carers and normalising flexibility.
