Virginia Briggs is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner of MinterEllison, Australia’s largest law firm. She is responsible for the firm’s strategy, which focuses on an inclusive culture, being purpose-led, delivering sustainable value to clients, and supporting the community.
Outside of MinterEllison, Virginia contributes to commerce and the community through a range of other leadership and advocacy positions, including Chief Executive Women, the Property Industry Foundation, and is a Champion of Change.
She is a former board member of the Property Council of Australia. the Committee for Sydney, the Corporate Mental Health Alliance and NSW Schools Infrastructure Advisory Committee.
In addition to her industry leadership, Virginia also holds multiple leadership roles within MinterEllison including being on the firm’s Reconciliation Action Plan and its Diversity and Inclusion Steering Committees. She is also executive sponsor of the firm’s LGBTQ+ network known as PRIME.

Virginia Briggs is a Member of the Champions of Change National 2015 Group. Based in Victoria, the National 2015 Group represents some of Australia’s most significant local, national and international organisations. Members work within and across their organisations to improve the representation of women in leadership positions and non-traditional roles.
