Prior to joining CBRE, Phil served with Ernst & Young, Real Estate Advisory Services in New York and London where he specialised in real estate strategic planning and operational performance improvement for multinational corporate clients. Phil originally hails from New Zealand where he first joined Ernst & Young (NZ) Real Estate Consulting Group. Prior to joining Ernst & Young Phil represented the New Zealand government on real estate related issues.
Phil completed a Bachelor of Commerce (Valuation and Property Management) in 1992 from Lincoln University, New Zealand. During his consultancy career Phil has focused on providing and implementing a range of strategic real estate advice to corporate occupiers, predominantly in the Financial Services, Manufacturing and Media, Entertainment and Information Services Sectors. Major assignments undertaken range from strategic planning, real estate and facilities outsourcing, development studies, corporate portfolio and location strategies and performance improvement strategies.
Phil Rowland is a Member of the Champions of ChangeProperty Group established in 2015 in partnership with The Property Council of Australia. The Property group brings together senior leaders across the industry’s development and construction, investment, funds management and agency sectors. The group aims to achieve greater gender equality in the property industry and to increase the number of women in leadership roles.
