Mark Collette commenced as Managing Director of EnergyAustralia on 1 July 2021.
Mark served as Chief Customer Officer from May 2019 until June 2021. Prior to leading EnergyAustralia’s retail business, he led the Energy business (comprising generation and trading at the time) between July 2015 and May 2019. Former roles have included executive responsibility for policy, sustainability, strategy and other matters. Mark has been with EnergyAustralia since 2003.
Mark is Chair and Director of the Australian Energy Council (AEC), which represents 20 major electricity and downstream natural gas businesses operating in the competitive wholesale and retail energy market. He is also a former member of the AEMC’s Reliability Panel and a former director of the Australian Financial Markets Association.
Prior to joining EnergyAustralia, he worked for management consulting firm LEK consulting on a variety of commercial engagements in Australia, Thailand and the UK.
