Leanne Harwood is SVP, Managing Director – Japan, Australasia & Pacific (JAPAC) for IHG Hotels & Resorts.
Appointed to the role in January 2018, Leanne is responsible for the strategy leadership of the JAPAC region, as well as the operations, growth and performance of more than 145 open or signed hotels in Australia, New Zealand, PNG, Micronesia, Japan, and the South Pacific.
Leanne has more than 25 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, including 16 years working with IHG around the world, and is renowned for her vision, energy and ‘fierce’ conversations – not to mention her powerful laugh.
Leanne was also elected as President of the Accommodation Association in September 2021, becoming the first woman to hold the position in the 54-year history of the organisation.
Originally from New Zealand, she’s a lover of good books and great wines, but her true passion is reserved for travel.
