Jason Foster is Executive Director of Regional and Fire Management Services within the Parks and Wildlife Service at Western Australia’s Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA). Jason has almost two decades of policy, stakeholder engagement and operational experience in local and State Government agencies.

Jason Foster leads a team of 950 staff involved in the frontline of the agency’s operations, which include land and marine management, bushfire mitigation and response, Traditional Owner partnerships, conservation, eco-tourism and visitor services across Western Australia.

Jason holds a bachelors’ degree in Science (Forestry) from the Australian National University.

Champions of Change Fire & Emergency 

Jason Foster is a Member of the Champions of Change Fire & Emergency Group which was established in 2017 in partnership with the Australasian Fire and Emergency Services Authorities Council (AFAC). The group includes Chief Executives and Commissioners leading more than 30 agencies responsible for fire, emergency and land management services across Australia and New Zealand. The group is committed to advancing gender equity, inclusive cultures and achieving significant and sustainable improvements in the representation of women in their workplaces.
