James commenced his property career as a graduate at Knight Frank (then Baillieu Hardie Gorman). A well-known and highly respected leader in the property industry whose career highlights include running his own business, Ridge Property Consultants, and senior roles at JLL, CBRE and Cushman & Wakefield, James returned to Knight Frank in 2021 to lead the Australian business.
As CEO, James has set a new strategy that has facilitated significant growth across the company by ensuring our client partners are continually supported by exceptional, unparalleled service. This fresh approach has enabled Knight Frank to develop our internal culture in line with our commitment to our People, our Planet and our Community, while expanding the organisation’s reach across Australia and New Zealand by leveraging James’s long-standing relationships to drive strategic partnerships with likeminded businesses such as Bayleys and Programmed Facilities Management.
James is a passionate advocate for gender diversity, disability and family and domestic violence awareness – he is a member of the Champions of Change Coalition, a long-term supporter of the Jobsupport disability employment services network, and Chairman of Souths Cares supporting disadvantaged and marginalised youth and their families through education, training, health and employment programs. James is also an avid Rugby League fan and lifelong supporter of the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
