Ian Sutter is a deputy chairman and board member of the Architects Registration Board of Victoria and the Australian Institute of Architects Victorian Chapter Large Practice Committee as well as playing a leading role within several industry bodies and committees.
Ian has experience in Cox NSW, QLD and Victorian offices, having helped establish the QLD practice. He has been the chairman of the COX appointments committee, and in 2019 was appointed as the national practice’s first full-time Managing Partner.
Working with clients across a broad range of delivery models, Ian delivers convention and exhibition centres with state of-the-art technology and flexibility. Some of his current and recent projects include the French Embassy, Malaysia, Western Beach Geelong Convention Centre, Shangri-La Hotel, Melbourne, Melbourne Square Hilton Hotel, Southbank, Desaru Sheraton Resort, Malaysia, The Sebel at the Point, Silverwoods Resort, Yarrawonga, Puteri Harbour Convention Centre, Malaysia, Queens Place, Melbourne, Melbourne Square, Southbank.
Ian Sutter is a Member of the Champions of Change Architects Group established in 2015 in partnership with the Australian Institute of Architects. The Group is committed to working together to proactively address the issue of gender equality, and women’s representation in leadership in Australian architecture practices, and across the profession.
