Geoff Wilson joined the Champions of Change Founding Group in 2012.
Geoff was appointed Chief Operating Officer of KPMG Asia Pacific in October 2013 relocating to Hong Kong. In this role Geoff Wass responsible for the oversight and strategic direction of KPMG’s regional business comprising 20 countries and over 30,000 people. Geoff returned to Australia in 2017
Geoff is a member of both the KPMG Asia Pacific Board and Executive Committee. Geoff’s key focus is aligning the strategic and operational agenda of the region to the firm’s global strategy, in particular active management of investments for growth. Geoff is also Asia Pacific Head of Markets, responsible for driving the region’s growth agenda.
Prior to this Geoff held the position of CEO for KPMG Australia from 2008 to 2013, having held numerous leadership roles within the firm. These included National Managing Partner of Audit from 2001, a member of the Global Audit Steering Group from 2001-08 and member of the National Executive Committee from 2002-13. Geoff also completed a secondment to KPMG Silicon Valley from 1997 to 2001, working with a variety of technology companies across a range of sectors.
Under his leadership, KPMG Australia was dedicated to corporate citizenship and in 2010 KPMG became the first accounting firm to launch a Reconciliation Action Plan. Geoff also chaired KPMG Australia’s Diversity Leadership Board and is a member of Champions of Change Coalition, who work to elevate the issue of women’s representation in leadership to the national business agenda.

Geoff Wilson is a Member of the Champions of Change Founding Group. The Founding Group was established in 2010 and comprises CEOs, Board Directors, Commonwealth Government Department Secretaries, University and Military leaders. Members of the Founding Group are committed to advance gender equality across their organisations and across the country. They focus on action in the areas of women’s representation in leadership, talent development, accountability and public advocacy.
