David Gillespie is an accomplished executive with more than 20 years’ experience in the Australian energy sector and as Manager Director at Jemena, a $11B major utility infrastructure company in both electricity and gas, is responsible for driving the group’s strategy and operational performance, safety and compliance, governance and regulatory affairs in a highly complex, ever changing market.
David Gillespie has a corporate finance background with extensive experience in stakeholder management and investor relations, complex transactions in capital markets, strategic investment management and corporate governance. He started his career with Professional Services firm Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, where he developed a passion for leadership and strategy.
He is a member of the ActewAGL Joint Venture Board and on The B Team’s Climate Leaders Coalition CEO group. As well as a Committee Member of the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute’s Audit, Finance and Risk Committee and a Non-Executive Director of the Victorian Clinical Genetics Services.
David is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Queensland
