Alex SmallAlex Small is a Director of Cox Architecture in the Sydney Studio and has worked for cox for 20+years. She started her career studying architecture in London at Kingston University and the Royal College of Art followed by 9 years with Michael Hopkins and Partners where she worked on city shaping project for the Jubilee Line Extension and Portcullis House for the Houses of Parliament and the extension and upgrade of Manchester City Art Gallery.

Having moved to Australia she has worked on a wide range of projects including residential, hotels, secondary and tertiary education buildings and transport infrastructure including heavy, rapid transit and light rail.

Alex’ passion for design and sustainability is brought to the fore in all projects; this is evident in her interest in transport infrastructure and buildings that have a performance and built response to the challenges of ESD.

Alex is sitting on the Cox Board of Management as a representative of the Sydney Studio and has been involved in Champions of change since 2016 as an implementation leader.
