While we have made progress on gender equality in the workforce, narrow definitions of “readiness” and reliance on traditional pathways can exclude highly capable leaders from CEO roles, particularly women and diverse candidates.
By broadening definitions of readiness, making selection criteria transparent and opening access to leadership opportunities, organisations create genuine choice. This ensures they can appoint the right leader for the context they face, strengthening trust in leadership, organisational resilience and long-term success.
The session will also mark the release of our new resource, Securing your future leader: Building diverse and inclusive CEO pipelines, offering practical strategies to drive systemic change and expand access to leadership opportunities.
